Badische Landesbibliothek Karlsruhe suggests a date of 1905 for the composer's self-published edition. A date in the mid to late 1920s seems more likely given the style of the cover page and the plate number (11). Other editions engraved by Universitätsdruckerei H. Stürtz include 3 Lieder, Op.20 (plates 10-12) issued by Fritz Müller in 1926 and the Deutsche Suite, Op.22 (plate 12) issued by Fritz Müller in 1928. MUGI notes that Fritz Müller also issued an edition of Nachruf.
