Extra Information The first edition's cover page says "For string quintet (orchestra)", but the work is not playable for quintet due to the pervasive use of divisi. Perhaps "string quintet" was wrongly intended as a synonym for the five parts of the string orchestra.
First recording published in 2010 by the Stamic Quartet with added double bass, piece given as "String Quintet, Op.3" with movement titles "Viola odorata" and "Rosa mystica".
