Possibly quartet 34 (according to Marco Polo / Naxos.com) rather than 33 (according to HMB) - no.33 according to Naxos was op.141 in C, - though both op.142 in E and op.146 in G are between op.141 in C and op.152 in E in the incomplete timeline (which lacks op.152) at this substitute for a Geocities quartet page.)

Brown notes that this was Spohr's last published chamber work and was composed in 1855 (Brown (1984), p.333.)

According to Naxos, op.141 in C is quartet 32, though numbered 31 on its title page (the actual quartet 31 being Op.132 in A, which Spohr mistakenly numbered 30. We don't have a copy of that one). Op.146 in G is therefore quartet 33 and this one is quartet 34 (and there are two additional quartets, Opp.155 and 157 in G and g, withheld by Spohr, apparently due to depression induced by his inability to play the violin after a broken arm). Op.142 is a piano trio; presumably the incomplete timeline confused it with Op.152. University of Auckland 19:19, 15 November 2015 (EST)
