There is no timpani in the 4th edition of the Motets, Livre 1. It is possible this was an addition by Philidor. IMSLP does not currently have the 1695 1st edition, but if research proves there was no timpani in this version, it should be removed from the instrumentation field, which is supposed to be original instrumentation only.
