Navigation etc.

Hammerschmidt writes that the voices may be doubled at the points marked "omnes". Some instrumental parts are found within the ATB vocal parts, and are mostly unlabelled. In no.8, the first of these parts is labelled "flauto", the secondm also a treble instrument, is probably also for recorder, although it is unmarked. In all other pieces, these instruments are notated in alto, tenor and bass clefs respectively. Trombones, violas, or viols could be considered for the alto and tenor parts, while the bass parts could be taken by bass trombone, bassoon or violone, to name a few possibilities. The violone & basso continuo parts are identical, and the violone doesn't seem to be counted among the 'instruments à 5'.
