Can we just agree his last name is Ditters?
He was knighted in order to get him a sinecure at Johannesberg when he was 34, and only at that time did he choose Dittersdorf for a "von" epithet, because he had to do something nobilifying. Ditters is not some sort of ancillary middle name, but his actual surname. I would prefer if he was referred to in IMSLP as Ditters, Carl. His early compositions don't show any sign of the Dittersdorf thing.
