This is not Book 9, but actually Bruni's first book of string quartets, but no opus or book numbers are mentioned on the title page. The book numbers for Bruni's quartets seem to have been used only beginning with "book 4" (actually the third published quartet opus by Bruni after the present work and op. 3; probably the editor of "book 4" took "op. 3" to mean "third work of quartets" and therefore called the work he published "book 4")
