  • The full score of the 1846 version is 36-bar long (Bruckner Gesamtausgabe, Band XXI/13). The score provided by Alexander Reuter is 24-bar long, i.e., without the bars 21 to 32, which are crossed-out in the manuscript. These 12 bars are put as "vi-de" in the Gesamtausgabe.
  • The revised version of 1888 is the fifth Tantum ergo in the fascicule of the first edition, which contains also the 1888 version of the 4 Tantum ergo, WAB 41.
